Care & Wear
Your bolo is built to last. Here's how to keep it that way.
Wearing your bolo
The slide adjusts easily — hold the slide with one hand and pull both cord ends with the other to tighten, or ease the slide down toward your chest to loosen. You'll find your preferred position quickly.
Bolo ties work with any outfit. There's no dress code. They wear well on every body and every aesthetic — that's why we make them. Each piece is intentionally gender-neutral in design and sizing.
For wedding day wear, we suggest adjusting the length the night before so you're not fidgeting on the day.
Cleaning your stone
For most stones: a soft, slightly damp cloth is all you need. Wipe gently, dry immediately. Avoid soaking — even stones that look solid can have natural fissures that water works into over time.
Avoid: ultrasonic cleaners, harsh chemicals, prolonged sun exposure (can fade some stones), and contact with perfume or hairspray before the stone has been removed.
Caring for the cord
Waxed cotton is durable but not waterproof. If it gets wet, let it air dry — don't apply heat. Over time the wax finish will naturally wear in a way that looks good.
The silver and Gold accents
Sterling silver tarnishes — that's normal and not a defect. A soft polishing cloth will restore the shine in seconds. 14k gold filled and rose gold are used as accents on some of our pieces, this should not flake or tarnish, it can get dirty though so use cloth to clean up. Avoid spraying perfume or lotions.
